Maths Problem Sums

1) Ariel and Billy shared some stamps in the ration 1:2. When BIlly gave some stamps to Ariel, the ratio of Ariel's stamps to Billy's become 5:4.
a) If Billy had 48 stamps left,how many stamps did they have altogether?
b) How many stamps did Billy give Ariel?
2)A,B,C and D are 4 diffferent numbers.
A is 25% of B,C and D.
B is 60% of C.
D is 50% of B and C.
a) Find the ratio of A:B:C.
b) Express A as a percentage of C.

1a) 48 stamps = 4 units, 9 units = 108 stamps
1b) Originally Ariel had 36 (1 unit) stamps Biily have 72 (2units)
72- 48 = 24 -
This looks like PSLE questions.
For 1a) Since Billy had 4 parts of 9 parts => 1 part =48/4 = 12
Carry on from there.

Don't just give straight answers, how to learn like that?
Especially since TS is only primary 6.

Most other ppl also will post everything even if i don't. The last time i tried to just guide and some1 else posted the full answer anyway.

kk no1 do so i do
2a) B 60% of C so ratio can be B:C is 3:5
D is 50% of B and C, B+C = 8 units so D = 4 units
B:C:D = 3:5:4
A is 25% of BCD, BCD is 12 units, 25% is 3 units
Therefore A:B:C is 3:3:5
2b) Since A to C is 3:5, same with B:C so its 60% lo
