The diagram (Fig 1.1) shows six shaded petals that meet at the centre O of a circle of radius 3cm. The shaded petals are formed by equal arcs of six circles, each of radius 3cm. Find
(a) the total perimeter of the six petals, Ans: 37.7cm
(b) the total area of the six petals. Ans: 9.78cm^2

Hint No.1 : perimeter of 6 circles =/= perimeter of 6 petals.
Hint No.2 : Use the entire circle to find the area of the petals.
