Ain't?

  The contraction ain't, that is used instead of "am not", "is not" or even "has not" and "have not". Is it correct? Is it accepted in the English language or is it some slang word that I should avoid using?

  in proper grammar, it's not a proper word.. more "common usage" or "slang"
