I'm like huh how to answer literature and study literature?
The literature give you 1 question. Then you have to keep answering. Huh?
And yeah how to study literature? What is it?
Any format for answering literature questions or the method?
Thanks for helpin.
Crap all you like, but justify the crap.
1 Read about the author
2 Read the 'set' bk from beginning to end at one sitting to get a clear story in your mind - this is your ist reading - take or make notes only if u dont understand the general outline.
3 Do a second reading which of course implies many readings if necessary to digest plot, strcuture n so on so forth.
To do well in literature - one - u form your opinions of the book and its .... most of all u need to substantiate what u say. eg. if u say, Mr A has a postitive outlook towards ... u must be able to quote - passages or conversations between one or two characters that support this: ie they must be relevant to the question also.
two - A good command of the English language is essential.
PS _ U may use guide books but do not quote or copy answers from there. the examiner, when he/she notices the same type of answer(s) will deduct marks. Be original and u get high marks.
Just remember this lar - understanding and giving your own view point of the book and supporting it with passages or quotes will garner u high marks!
So okay maybe if the question says this.
Then you will have to answer and say.
To a certain extent , he is ... . Then you go on and say " Because of what he has done or maybe the evidence " .... Is it?
Then only one sentence if the question is 10marks meh?
then u obviously need to have mroe then one point........ ._.
maybe if ts is o lv then his method might cut it, but if JC... no way maaaan....
Remember 10 quotes from the book.
Try to use them in your answer even if they are not relevant to the question.

Quote a phrase, link it to the question u are answering
i dun really remmeber much, long time since i did literature

That's for hmmm.. History ? The Source Based Questions...
you need to have passion for anything. dun study just for the sake of exams. study for the sake for the passion for literature and knowledge.
just the way you think and not think of the obstacles ahead.

To put your words harshly, yet realistically, don't take literature unless you have a very good command of basic english and have fantastic essay-writing skills to begin with.
None of my schoolmates who consistently score A1/A2 for English Language ever had a problem in Literature in English, nor do they ever ask "how to answer literature and study literature".

that goes to show how a top and mediocre students take their studies. mediocre students only think of how to pass exams and top students have passion for study and knowledge. top students no need to worry about passing exams
english is not difficult to learn. if you have passion and is not afraid of hard work, you will ace your exams eventually. nothing is difficult to learn in this world, unless you are damn lazy and cant be bothered, yet want to ace in exams.
isnt medicine difficult to study as compared to other disciplines, yet you dun hear medical students complaining the difficulty of passing their exams. medicine is a calling, its not a job or high pay to them. its their passion to treat patients.

sure got ppl who score A for english but literature also nto quite good de what.
literature involves understanding the text and then trying to presenting your opinions in a succinct manner.
thats why there is no right or wrong answer, perhaps first of all u need to be very sure of the quotes and the storyline.
why dun the TS approach his/her teacher and asked for advise? I am sure the teacher would be glad to advise the TS how to study for the subject.

nono, he should take his mid year paper and ask for suggestions laaaaa
study this type of thing is internal one. top students have ambitions and passion and discipline to ace their exams. mediocre students like me when I was a student, wasnt listening in class, study in last minute for exams, yet want to ace exams lol. dunno still dun want or dun dare to approach teachers for help or advise.
all I can say is really, it depends on yourself. if you dun like to study like some others, study can be a chore.
