I would appreciate if anybody around here could help me with these words that I compiled over this year.
What I need help on :
I will list a set of words here and I would appreciate if you guys could tell me how to put it in a sentence ( essay form ) and how to use them. I believe this will not only benefit me but it will also benefit those who are weak in English.
( The online dictionaries can't tell me how do I use these words in a sentence, you'll get what I mean when you read them )
1. Self-deprecating ( "How to use this word in a sentence? When do I use it?" )
2. Preconceived notions ( "" )
3. Clever puns ( "" )
4. Incumbent ( "" )
5. Innate flaws ( "" )
6. Harsh, cold, callused ( All 3 words complimenting each other) ( "" )
7. De-humanizing, immoral, inhumane ( All 3 words complimenting each other) ( "" )
8. On both sides of the spectrum ( "" )
9. Enforced lethargy ( "" )
10. Flourish and in a flash ( can't remember the exact phrase, something along these lines )
11. Esoteric knowledge ( "" )
12. Erudite ( "" )
13. False pretenses ( "" )
15. Nebulous boundaries ( "" )

That's all for part 1. I still have 5 more pages of words like these but I don't really think it's needed to post ALL of them up :s

Anyway, how often will I use these words anyway ?
If there's any combination of the words that can compliment each other, please let me know ^^ ( EXAMPLE : you can use both Word 4 and Word 11 in a single sentence ) or what words do you think ( from your own opinion ) will go well with these to " beautify " my essay?

These words are what I'm planning to use in the GCE O levels essay.
anyway regarding number 5, why would you want to find out how to make a sentence with "innate flaw"? innate by itself is pretty versatile to be used with a couple of other words. like innate trait/characteristic for one. maybe you can learn "innate" by itself and pair them up with other words and use instead, dont just memorise the phrase "innate flaw" by itself because it would mean that you wouldnt know how to use innate with other words.
@ absol : Point taken.
For me, my way of learning English would be to, as suggested, read.
From storybooks to newspaper etc. and I found that the place where I can learn the most words would be...
Elite blogs.
Yes, I learn English from Elite blogs. I mean look at the way they write, that kind of English they use. Definately useful material.

Other than that, no other suggestions of how to use these words in an essay ? o_o
Upz!
There must be at least one word which makes sense...

It will not benefit those who are weak in English. In fact, it might be the push factor which contribute to them failing.
All you need to do well in English is good grammar, good structure and good style of communication, not stupid stuff like using big words.
