the way u do jc exams like primary sch exams! LOL. always scoring 80~90+ marks, the only thing i can think of being feasibly achieved is maths and phyiscs haha. but i never see any1 physics get 90 in jc before o.0. maths 97-98 marks got haha.
next time singapore should have brain cell donation drive(as common as blood donation drives) and make it compulsory for uber smart students to donate their brain cells, then students like us will be queuing up for a piece of your brain LOL.
top = freaking goooood. like top 3 in singapore, tats what i call good student. x.x

his genes from his parents what lol. if your grades are bad, blame on your parents bad genes lor lol.
it's not genes
It was a result of hard work. I scored Cs for Physics the whole of J1, and B the first 3 months in J2. After lots more hard work, I managed to score 90 marks for my CT2 before prelims.
In short, hard work is always required to reach your goals. It's useless to blame anything else.

Always is only for maths la
Not physics... Only near end of J2 then managed that... Again, hard work... Discipline... All plays a part...
I have a J1 student now who's consistently scoring near the 90% range for maths. He puts in lots of hard work... Lots.... Lots of sacrifice...
Why can't you all stop scoring 90+?
Like dat I very the hard to tutor students one you know?
KNN must make them aim for at least 85% then got chance to score an A...
Damned stressful zzz
Spoil market sia you all.
haha. no matter what mikethm ur $ still come in what

True, but u still need the education.
Grades are results and reflections of your education. If you look at many of the directors and top CEOs, they are usually equipped with CFAs, and that required a good uni degree as requirement before being able to take the test.
Remember that knowledge gain in education is only a portion of it. It's the skills of life, i.e. time management, team management, people skills, stress management, discipline, goals setting, willingness to sacrifice for your eventual goal etc, that will propel you further... Been there, done that, now I'm trying to help the next batch of students to achieve and reach their potential in my own little way...
As I always tell people, do you want to look back later in life, and regret over your choices made in life?
Especially for JC students, once you have made the decision to enter JCs, you have to stick through it, work hard and excel in it. Imagine this... After two years of hard work, you will have at least half a year to rest...

Nope, if anyone ended with worse than a B3 after >30 lessons... I automatically refund all fees paid as an apology for wasting their time. Not that I had to refund anyone yet but the thought of possibly having to do so make me cannot sleep in December...zzz
Nowadays getting scarier as the proportion of students who does not study is getting lower and lower...zzz
Hi Mikethm,
Teachers can only point the way to the learner. Much of the work and effort lies with the student and he is ultimately accountable for his results. Perhaps you may wish to reconsider the need to refund money and save a lot more sleep :)
Also, the future is always uncertain. Nothing can be guaranteed, and the present moment is what we only have.
Thanks!
Cheers,
Wen Shih
