good tuition centres?

  hey i just flunked both my sciences- pure physics n chem, particularly physics, which i got F9. so i needa reccomnedation for good tuition centres around the town area. all answers are appreciated!  :)

  Is sec 3 physics and chem that difficult when its more theory stuff and quite abit of maths in physics?

  well the thing is i'm from SCGS and the standard there is really high, 1/3 of the cohort failed physics. 10 from my class scored F9. as for chem, the paper was challenging too. usually score my B3's but failed by 1 mark this time. but i'm more desperate for a physics tutor- to prepare for my re exams.

  wow, my former neighbour since i was from SJI many many yrs ago...

  If thats the case, u should not really blame urself too much. Go through ur paper and those questions that u really do not understand, feel free to post here and let the regulars answer ur questions and doubts.

  Got re exams 1 ah...

  Physics is a science that gives u more choices in future be it in uni or poly compared to bio since physics is required for all engineering fields while bio is quite restricted to that few courses. I advice my students to take physics n chem over bio and chem since it allows for more variety of choices in future.

  theory n calculations lo. Physics has the most calculations of the 3 that i sometimes treat it more like a 3rd maths last time.

  I have an advantage in theory and calculations, not sure include in it or not, if i take part-time private o levels

  U can check on the O's physics syallbus and see whether u know the topics. There should be a post quite recently asking about the physics syllabus.

  I'm teaching at Eton Tuition Centre, pure physics, moving into sec 4 next year.

  But it's not near town; it's near Hougang MRT Station, Hougang Mall. I don't earn anything extra by having one more student though. It's just for helping ;)

   

  Anyway, if you have any queries, you could always post here. Interesting and challenging questions are always welcomed. I would be happy to explain certain concepts here. Of course, I have to say that most concepts are best explained in drawing so that you can visualise better. In any case, you could visit ExamWorld to assist you in your preparation, although I haven't had the time to update it for quite a while...

   

  Btw, 1/3 of the cohort failed physics doesn't mean you should allow that as an excuse. ;) Work hard; you can do it.
