acceptable or not? if i wrote heading for the letter, will i get penalised ? But it's the first time in my upper secondary life that i actually finish paper 1 in time :) and i misread qn 7b sia my gosh! I read it as " Where were the 'old brutes' ..."
can help to check whether some of my vocabulary answers acceptable?
1. impairs: inhibits
2. comprises: is made up of
3. wary: alert
4. coursed: flow
Format is okay. Please read the previous posts.
Vocab. all seem to be acceptable, with a little doubt on the 1st one, which was the only hard vocab. question.

seem to be repeated points. Or at least that's what a strict marking scheme would say.
Cambridge examiners aim to give you marks, unlike Singapore examiners, who aim to take marks away.
where's the repeated point?
i see nothing else about future events and mental health.
mental health and the analysis
one is theory, another is uses.

Freud is famous for interpretting dreams and his fantasy on sex stuff in psychology.
Considering some1 who can link a tunnel, oven etc in dreams to a vagina, what else can he not do i wonder :p

R formula is now in E maths? My time it was in A maths then they remove the topic from A maths to put in JC then now bring back to E maths ah.

Sorry.
I used the wrong words.
"merely predict future event" does not even seem like a valid point imho in comparison to the question.
"connection between dreams and mental health" is a bit similar to the psychiatrist guy point.
That's all.
As I said, they are weak albeit valid points that strict examiners might not accept.

ps i think it is in a maths. i mixed up both. But e maths should only have basic trigo function of those in the 1st and 2nd quadrant

R formula in a maths

After ur O's, u can go read up on freud. He has many interesting yet controversial theories. Some of which are still being used by psychologist now since noone can prove him wrong.

They blur already.
They ARE talking about Amaths. They got the dates confused I supposed, otherwise their worrying 2 nights in advance for Amaths.
R formula is the only trigo formula needed to be memorised I believe.
A maths or E maths, its good to see it back since it was consider a give away question during my time since all u do is apply the formula without much thinking.

it is a valid point.
read the part, there might be a connection between dreams and physical well-being, which was the first time that the interpretation of dreams did not merely predict future events.
this meant that before that theory, dreams were used to predict future events.

OT abit, besides freud, feel free to look up on classical conditioning and operant conditioning. They are interesting learning theories on how people learn and remember things.

But the first part of R Formulae- qns always requires some kind of visualizing and thinking to prove out a certain eqn ... :(

What was the exact summary question again?
It will be the answer to our issue here. It doesn't matter though.
You already have 15 solid points which means 15 full marks for content anyway. Can't get 16/15 sadly ..

Using your own words as far as possible, summarise the various species which have been put foward as to why we dream, and the way dreams have been interpreted and used over the centuries.
I think the paper was considered somewhat easy but since its easy, It might be
harder to get good grades and the markers might mark a bit more strictly. We probably need like 80% to get A1.
As for the vocab, u think I can use Trickery for Ruse?

Actually i totally dun remember how to apply nor use R formula. Just remember it was 1 of the easiest topic besides remainder and factor theorem, simultaneous equations etc.
Its 8 yrs since my O's and R formula is a formula we never ever use after O's
