i think as long as your L1R5 meets the cut off point for VJC, it doesn't matter which subjects you take.
not sure how it is now though.. been a long time since i left sec sch. heh.
U can always get into a JC as long as u meet their L1R5 requirement but the subjects you can take in JC is limited by what subjects you did for ur O's.
For your case, without pure sciences, i believe you are unable to take H2 sciences and without A maths, unable to take H2 maths in most JCs. That simply means you will not be able to enter the science stream but the arts stream will not be a problem for you if you can meet the L1R5 requirements.

What jobs can we have in the arts stream ?

going into the arts stream doesn't determine what type of jobs you can take up in the future.
through arts stream in jc, you can go to most courses in uni for e.g. business, arts and social science, IT etc.
*duplicate*

Law, social sciences (psychology, sociology etc), business, humans (geog, hist, lit etc) are the degrees available to arts students.
i think ur result is fine. by my standard of course.
just appeal to AM , beg, cry, or whatever, and work fucking hard.
your results sucks leh... if this is your o level results you can forget about entering JC la... dont even mention VJC.
If you want to go work after JC, then its almost impossible because A level gives you nothing... go poly if you not interested in Uni studies...
Arts stream... you go study arts and social sciences in the future or business... no science, maths and engineering route for you...

go easy on him la.. my results were worse than him when i was in sec 2, but i still did quite well for o levels wot.
as long as he doesn't give up now, he will be fine.
agree. go for pure sciences and take a maths..work harder lor. my sec 2 results a bit better than you only although i passed everything. haha. if cannot get what u want, appeal. i think being a science stream student in jc is more flexible in terms of what you can study in university than being an arts stream student lol.

I put a math phy and chem as 1st choice
and the 2nd is just a math
+if I dinden get into any of the both ,then i take poa
can I get into a good jc like victoria?
cos my school for humanities only can choose 1, then I choose literature in CL
out of the 3 ( geo, his, ~ )
dear silun
please dun look down on yourself
I am not a top student in O level ,but i always modelled after great business entrepeneur who does not even have the grades in their tertiary
Take a look at Sim Wong Hoo ,CEO of Creative ,who admitted that his grades in Ngee Ann Polytechnic is an average D
Do not be disheartened ,you can either retake or apply for uni degree and regain confidence to get good grades :)
My 2 cents worth

You still have 2 years, work hard and your results will speak for your effort.
With your current results, admission into VJC is not possible unless you use Direct Admission. BUT, these are not your "O"-lvl results, they are just a gauge to tell you how far away you are from your target. Thus, if you are willing to put your heart into it, even admission into RJC will not be just a mere dream.
