I was taken aback by the absence of Venice in the paper! There were multiple gasps heard throughout the hall. =/
Thankfully I studied all the chapters that came out, so I attempted Globalisation. Heh.
SBQ was rather tough. The last question was rather unconventional, i did one supporting view, one contrasting view and left it at that. No cross-references.
stumped at seq qn1 part b. so i decided to choose globalisation, my weakness. :/ regreted. in the end, i realise that 1b is easy. on the other hand, i chose the wrong factor for 4b. i thought managing resources efficiently is managing land resources =.=
so let's get full marks in elective geog/ history.
i chose transnational terrorism
i chose the wrong factor for 4b. i thought managing resources efficiently is managing land resources =.=
Huh? Why would it be wrong? I mentioned that by managing our land for industrial use we will be able to remain attractive to TNCs. I think it's a matter of how we phrase ba. (And anyway I wrote both human resources and managing land so I think I'm rather safe. Heh.)
managing land is mangaing resources efficiently.
for me still managable and easy.
i wrote human only. but i pack with examples. haha =x
I think those people who banked their studies entirely on Venice must feel extremely saddened when they were told to check the paper.. =/
But this means moderation upwards! =D
!! so writing either human resources or land resources are also acceptable?

yesh.
dun believe me check tb. it is under the same section .

I would think so ba. Most importantly is how your explain. So if you linked back to the question and argued in a logical manner, should be acceptable. =)
wow thanks!
btw we only need to explain diversifying economy and managing resources efficiently can already right?
yea.
Yep. Don't need to bring in a third factor. For humanities exams always answer the question. Don't need to do what it doesn't ask you to do. Heh.
gonna chiong my lit after i get back from com chem
no marks given. take a look at LORMS. =)

I now left with 5 subjects to help me already....
Originally got 8,
dropped to combine sci = 7
Dropped A Math = 6
Now my Combine Humans = Dead
= 5 subjects left....
Now i aming to get
English - A2/B3
Chinese - A1/A2 (Mid Year get B3...)
E Math - B3/B4
Pure Geog - A1/A2/B3
Science(Bio/Chem) - A2/B3/B4
Combine Humanities - C5/C6!!! (It'll be a miracle)
L1R4(Maximum aim) - 16
L1R4(Lowest from my aim) - 9
L1R5(Maximum aim) - 22
L1R5(Minimum aim) - 14
My entire school flipped the paper over to the SEQ portion when they said "your time begins now," and a collective gasp echoed throughout the auditorium.
I expect 21/25 for SBQ section, and 5/25 for SEQ question.
Did the bonding question, because out of all the three topics of which I studied none, bonding seemed like the one that you could bullshit your way through with general knowledge and common sense.
I await SBS N SMRT's sentiments on this.
Though I was not surprised Venice didn't appear as an SEQ question, I WAS surprised that Globalisation came out in place of Healthcare/Population. Globalisation came out for 2008 and 2009 N' Levels, and now it has come out for 2009 O' Levels.
On the bright side, the ones taking their O' Levels next year know that Venice is 99.9% coming out.

No. The syllabus for Venice simply changed last year.
All the subjects most of us take now had the syllabus changed last year. So next year's batch is still taking our syllabus.
Venice changed for the worse. It got a lot more complicating instead of just "political, social and geographical" factors.
i heard one school all focus like mad on venice :/
