Can help me solve the 2 qns, i cant seem to solve it, the italic no. are the base.
1. Evaluate log 9 + log 9 81 + log 1/9 9. (Ans: 1.5)
2. Solve the equation log 2 (x+1) - 2 = 6 log 4 2 + log 2 x (Ans: x = 1/31)

what's the number after the base 9? in log 9
2. log 2 (x+1) - 2 = 6 log 4 2 + log 2 x
log 2 (x+1) - log 2 2^2 = log 2 (2^3) + log 2 x
log 2 ((x+1)/4) = log 2 (8x)
x+1 = 32 x
x = 1/31
The number is 3. Anyway thanks for the 2nd solution.

1. 1/2 log 9 9 + 2 log 9 9 + (log 9 9) / (log 9 9^-1)
1/2 + 2 + 1/-1 = 1.5
it is important to remember the log rules, go through them and you would understand the above concept
