very managable >_>
wad was the most diff qn ?
Overall, very manageable. The first Section C question involving the towers caught me off guard at first. The question involving the lorry was a little hard to explain.
I drew the graph of the wave wrongly, I drew a negative sine graph. =/
very unmangeable for me >.>
i'm not sure about every questions x_x esp the no. of towers and description of distance between car A and B.
and the problems in the plug
I got A1 for physics in Secondary 3, and D7 for physics in Secondary 4.
Good thing I spent the whole night 12am to 7am mugging all the magnetism and electricity topics. I guess I can secure a B4 at least.
The paper was as ridiculously easy as pure chemistry. Or maybe it's easy for me because I only learned the secondary 4 chapters at the 11th hour (like organic chemistry, magnetism etc.) and therefore they were fresh in my head.
tower= 14.83, round of=1 5
dis= either 100 or 180 ( dun rmb, i think is 180)
yes i agree the lorry diff 2 exxplain, but i guess main point in simple terms =
-tilt cg out of base
- cause moment , therefore fall
i feel that the pressure also EITHER . the pressure same despite vol constant
went a big round and say force porportional to p. provided vol constant. - cause combard lose enrgy .
dejomel - u say easy but say at least b4 abit contradict lolsz
plug i totally forgot, anyhow whack, in the end wrong. i say earth and neutral switch . LOLLOLLLOL
whats a negative sine graph. mine ans was like the 1 drawn, direction same as everything. ?_? but = shift the wave of t=0 to t=0.2
Aiyah saying it's easy and predicting a low score is not a paradox/oxymoron/contradiction la.
Simply means that I didn't study for it, but even a person who didn't study like me found it easy. Therefore it's a lot easier to pass, a lot harder to score.
Estimate pure sciences requirement for A1 this year to be >85%. Just like Emaths.
Negative sine graph is a sine graph flipped over with respect to the x-axis. I drew that oh goodness. =/
My tower was 30 leh. I took 15 x 2, because two towers are needed to support each segment of the tower.
For the lorry, I wrote that reaction force and weight produce a force that is opposite in direction to the frictional force. Hence the resultant force is to the right, causing the lorry to topple.
I feel saddened regarding the self-perceived loss of my A1.. =(
Relax. It's all over.
All I have left are Chinese, Pure Literature and the Pure Sciences P1s.
I think I'll create a "Estimate Your L1R5" thread. Hahaha.
Oh well, there's still P1. Now, to try to get as close to full marks as possible!
I think I'll create a "Estimate Your L1R5" thread. Hahaha.
Oh that'll just make me even more depressed!

Doubt it :)
Obviously we're gonna predict very horrible scores. And when we suddenly get like 4 points lower, it's one hell of a pleasant surprise.

imagine if u suddenly got 4 points higher, it's one hell of a pleasant surprise too .
xD
i thought there were 30 towers too
for the lorry i say, the moment of the lorry becomes from anit-clockwise direction to clockwise direction, causing unequal moments, not stable, so it falls @_@
im having stomachache now...it better be gone before geog exam.
good luck for e.geog paper

if i am to mark ur answer ( assuming u wrote exactly the same thing)
'' becomes from anti to clockwise''
then the lorry should alr be falling in tht direction , whic is not the case.
Do note, the answer for the ''tower' question is not 30, nor is it 15, nor is it 14.
It's 16.
Do the maths.
You don't multiply 15 by two.
You simply add one for the final tower.
So the answer is 16.
One mark only, its the small tricky ones here and there that turn A1s into A2s.

lol. but the 15 ( final , as calulated ) is connected to power station where need + 1
here got alot of mixed answer >_ >
to seek further clarification , i put pic of diagram
sum1 please explain qn . i forget alr =)

There are 16 of the symbol |
and there are 15 of the symbol ----
The symbol ---- refers to the 14.3 copper cables we got as our answer.
We rounded it up to 15 copper cables.
Therefore 15 copper cables ---- require 16 |
The end.
This is the sort of question that when it comes out in the PSLE, parents go, " WTF WHY IS IT SO HARD! MY LITTLE BABY COULDN'T DO IT! ONE MARK GONE JUST LIKE THAT! NOW MY BABY CANNOT GET A* ANYMORE! CANNOT GO RGS/RI CANNOT GO GOOD SCHOOL! HE/SHE HAS NO MORE FUTURE! "
And in case you're wondering, I put 15.
A whole bunch of us realised, just after we walked out of the room, that it should have been 16.
Does anyone know correct answer for the charge qn?
May I also know the resistance, current question? Thanks.

Yes, 1 of questions (magnetic) had come out from past year before:
..... about the counter moment of movement one.
Correct concept, more marks =) As answers are straightforward.
Hope get 50+/80

Yea, answer is 16. Must +1 tower before rounding up.
By the way, there's this question (also part of the tower question) which requires us to determine the cost due to power loss in cable? Do we needa multiply the time?
I simply take 9 point something kWh multiply by $0.22 and get something like $20+++. Come to think of it, i do think that it is necessary to multiply by 24 again. what answer did you guys get?

$495. Am I right though?

Yea, if you multiply by 24 that's the right answer. Argh, got that wrong. shouldn't have hesitate to add in the 24!

Anyway, my working is:
22 cents/kwh x 93.75kw x 24h (1 day)
= $495
Need to multiply 5 times for KW of copper as it is 5km.
The 93.75KW is for one hour? Thought its one second?
manageable

is hour haha
