overall easy
but i was stumped at the question which asks what's refractive index. My textbook says the ratio of speed of light in vacuum or air to the speed of light in the medium, cheated my feelngs. in the end, i chose the ratio of speed of light in air to the...
btw, what's the answer to qn5? a lot of my frens answers differ..i put 8N =/
hihi
I think it was easy. But there were a few booby traps. Like the question with a graph of volume against temperature, at first I didn't read the question thoroughly and I thought that it was asking about the maximum/ minimum of volume, not density! And that question with the current through a straight wire XY, I thought it was the curly one that resembles the right-hand grip rule. Oh the paper is trying to catch us off guard with misleading diagrams!
then what should be the answer to the straigtht wire qn? im not sure about that 1
air lah
for me put 8N
manageable paper..but 10 X harder than last year one

sian . qn 20 i put b i full marks already =.=
i put vaccuum cause vaccuum is ' 1 ' and if i were to use air , which is estimated to be '1' BUT NOT '1' , it would be inaccurate.
lol
air meh a lot of websites say vacuum

trust me xD
Vacuum is a better answer as light may travel at different speeds in different atmospheres right? Qn 22 what u guys pt?
wah u all do p1 le ar?
i tot that is p4 or p2?
p1 i tot tomorrow?
22. They travel through a vacuum.

So, I think I get Q4, Q16 (maybe), Q19 wrong. Those I should have gotton correct answers. Wasted :(:(:(
Anyway, the paper was managable.
Hope I can get less than 10 questions wrong.......
Also, help me double-check the answers. Thanks =)

Sorry my typo, I got B. Because if push the black ruler by 0.2cm to the white ruler, the object X is 1.1cm, which is same as after using another ruler to measure the end correction.

Object X starts from the end of the ruler and not the point of 0.
Your ans for Qn 7 is wrong too, density is mass over vol. Low vol=high density, so i put A
My answers:
1-5 CDDBB
6-10 CAABC
11-15 BCAAB
16-20 BBDDB
21-25 DDCCB
26-30 CDBDC
31-35 CDCCB
36-40 CBDDD
I think my answers for qn 4,28, 35 are wrong
i put D for qn 34
Q38 shoud be B because Since Ammeter deflects to the right, it is anti-clockwise. Thus, the pole which goes into Q is N (as stated on the question). The pole which is out of end P is S.

Placing N-pole in Q will make it a south pole.
Placing S-pole in P will make Q a south pole as well.
