an aqueous ionic compound gave the following results on testing
I It forms a white ppt with acidified barium chloride solution
IIĀ No change observed with aq. ammonia
What could the ionic compound be?
I am stuck between 2 choices : ammonium sulfate and calcium sulfate
I chose (NH4)2SO4 and the answer is calcium sulfate.... the question already says aqueous ionic compound, calcium sulfate can't even dissolve in the first place. so why calcium sulfate?
Thanks!
