My 5 cents comments
Diploma in Green Building & Sustainability, it must be the way we live in the future or there will not be any future for us at all. Everyone is doing it. China with its Eco-cities, obama in creating “green” collar jobs, Euro is always very green, Singapore is trying to cut carbon emission by 16%. There is a despair need for more “Green” professionals.
Diploma in Early Childhood Studies, I prefer Diploma in Gerontological Management Studies which teaches issues on the greying population which Singapore is moving towards.
Diploma in Veterinary Technology. As there are more pets owners in Singapore who is willing to spend more on their pets, there should be a large market out there.
Melody,
The Diploma in Early Childhood Studies (ECS) will primarily equip ‘O’ Level school leavers with the vital knowledge, practical skills and positive attitudes necessary to become competent early childhood educators.
You will gain a broad-based understanding of the principles and practices of early childhood education and care. At the same time, you will learn to design and deliver creative and dynamic child-centred lessons in various subject areas, ranging from literacy, mathematics to creative expressions.
Our diploma helps you to

Hi Ray,
You might want to consider the Diploma in Business Process and Systems Engineering from Temasek Poly. Besides some fundamental engineering subjects, you can learn about business as well.
Go to:
http://www-eng.tp.edu.sg/eng_home/eng_courses/eng_ft_courses/eng_bze_home.htm
im in business process and systems engineering year 3. Its basically an all-rounder course about all the business courses offered from the business schools with alittle bit of extra engineering rubbish inside.
so basically you know "enough-to-get-by" information of everything. Its basically what most bosses want when they employ new people.
If I want a business Diploma, then I should apply for Diploma in Business, Marketing or Accounting in Business school instead. Some more the "alittle bit of extra engineering rubbish inside" is a lot lor, after I visit the website.
I heard TP engine school is thrash.
You can pass a paper with both eyes closed.
hi RonnyO,
i'm a year 3 student in TP A&F, would you like me to tell you more about our diploma? (:

Guess what, I heard your mom's butt is smooth with a slight hint of lemon fragrance.
Should I believe what I hear?
How can I tell you more if you are studying there for 3 years. haha. so cute.

Our diploma helps you to
- appreciate child psychology
- specialize in early character education and early global citizenship
- value cross-cultural perspectives and cultivate a global mindset
- relate current international research to best practices in early childhood care and education
- apply psychological research principles and methods

Kudos to those that take up this course!! I salute you.
. CHildren needs to be well brought up with good education and upbringing. It's not a glam job but it's one that we cannot do without. I would also give the Culinary studies and GBS faculty thumbs up!! otherwise, we going to have badly adjusted individuals that cannot cook or eatwell and not been environmentally friendly n talked about someone mum's butt and what not.

did you read this? http://sgforums.com/forums/2297/topics/386821 A heads up for those thinking of applying for this new "Veterinary Bioscience" NP course. On a stomp forum, preciouspurple11 pointed out that this new NP "Veterinary Bioscience" course is NOT for animal lovers who want to become veterinarian doctors. Quite the contrary, the course appears to be more for laboratory technicians who handle animals used for research and testing (ie. what animal lovers argue is animal cruelty). If you're an animal lover who wants to be a veterinarian doctor, it might be a better idea to go the 'A' level route, and subsequently to an overseas University to study veterinary medicine.
honestly, even studying to be a veterinarian would require a bit of the research and testing aspect. because this is what helps to further discover different kinds of diseases that you help other animals in the future. in TP, the vet tech course doesn't really cover on the research and testing part. that i can vouch for. 'A' level route is definitely better of cos but the workload would be much more. if you're smart enough, go to JC! (:
why the specialist dip in infocomn security at temasek poly disappeared liao?

Honestly, whether JC or Poly, to be a Veterinarian, you will need to pursue a degree programme overseas. Only that if you do that with the knowledge you have learnt from the Veterinary Technology course, it would be good and probably easier for you.
The Diploma in Veterinary Technology in TP focuses mainly on:
· Animal Care and Management for companion animals, some farm animals and fish
· Veterinary Skill Sets for work in the veterinary clinics and hospitals
· Veterinary/clinical diagnostics for finding the causative agents for animal diseases
This is in view of the many roles in the industry which involve working with animals. This course prepares the graduate for the possibility of eventually working as a veterinary technologist in any of the areas. The course does not train students to be veterinarians. However, TP has already had graduates who have been successfully admitted into the veterinary science degree programmes at universities in Australia.
Generally, this diploma course at TP allows more options for the graduate to pursue a career other than veterinary technology. They could choose to study veterinary science , biomedical science or zoology or other course that focuses on animals. Some may prefer to pursue a career in research in the end.
Hope this helps.
Hi TP students, need a little help here. Currently considering TP as my 1st few choice of school, however i am not sure which courses would be good for me, my scores are as stated below, EL-7==, Math-3, Sci-3, Chinese-3(Dist Oral), CHum-9, DnT-3, PoA-4, CCA-A1 L1R4-17(after deduction of CCA bonus points if i am not wrong?_?). I would be interested more in courses that are related to Design and Technology with abit of business. Thanks for the help in advance.
