do you like accounting? if yes, study CAT and then ACCA.
if all else fails, do your parents can afford to send you study overseas? if yes, go overseas study and get a degree.
woah, acca is really a good choice. but with just n level, i doubt you can get in.
Originally posted by dkcx:Currently i think only NTU offers a aeronautical engineering degree but it only takes in the top students from JCs and polys so its quite a difficult course to get into. It would be easier to go overseas if you really want to study this field at degree level.
Personally i charge 25/hr for O's levels.
Private candidate you might need to check with the private schools, not sure whether it varies or is the price fix.
only O level exam fees are fixed, as in determined by SEAB.
Private sch charges vary...U have to go check out some of the schs to know the prices now...the variation can be quite big....
for private schs...U pay peanuts...U get monkey...but no confirm one...U can pay a lot...and U just get a better-dressed monkey.

thats why I said study CAT first, precursor to entry to ACCA.
n level can get in?
Originally posted by HeartHunter:You have people working and studying for a degree at the same time.
Its just time management.
I agree there are people doing a good job balancing both but in the context of TS....he already had problems balancing his N level and runescape..I dont think he can balance ITE and O levels...
At the end of the day....part-time study isnt for everyone.

yes to CAT. once you study CAT and finish that, can use CAT to gain entry to ACCA. u interested in accounting?

nah, i suck with numbers

According to Kaplan,
but I think its whether TS likes the subject in the 1st place....can get in doesnt mean can graduate....likewise for his Aerospace Avionics...
Hello TS,
I was once in your situation, but O's. I was given no choice but to retake O's or carry on in ITE. What I did was both since I need to be in a school, if not, NS call up. I passed, resigned ITE, applied a dip. course in NYP. After NS, Im still studying, but another dip. course in Lasalle.
If I were you, I will just take Aerospace Avionics. At least you will learn something new in life. & btw, don't say 'you was forced'. Just accept it.
Good luck.
I just hate how everyone's stereotyping ITE, Seriously, it isn't that bad at all, my goodness. i've gotten a GPA of 4.0 for TWO YEARS STRAIGHT. It's the only place where you can actually prove you're worth something ( given if you put in the effort ) and look where i am now, NUS. In ITE, you'll meet great people ( If you know where to look), awesome lecturers, and loads of memories. And heck there's even a Diploma course in ITE,
( Example, Diploma In Machine Technology, which is recognised in NUS )
Link here : http://www.ite.edu.sg/ft/ted_mt.htm
but if you're not in the precision engineering course, think of it this way, you'll gain more experience ( Hands-On ) then those who went in straight from O levels.
As the saying goes, never judge a book or in this case a school by it's students.
What you gotta say now huh?
Very good indeed. From ITE to NUS. But how many are there like you leh ?
What are the others in ITE who cannot make it ?
It is good to console TS and gives him a dream or hope.
BUT it is better to instil in him the importance of self-discipline and good results only come with great effort and hardwork.
Once, TS learns the good habit of self-discipline and hardwork, TS can be successful in his own way.
I also just got my result too. And I thought that I was gonna to fail so I actually also thinking of choosing aerospace technology in ITE . But for your case what I think is that you should go to ITE and if you really want to take your certificate, try as a private candidate.
Actually ITE is not a bad idea after all, if you do well you can even get to a scholarship to polytechnics.
Alot of ppl here give you long advices.
Let me just give you and short and sweet one.
Retake your 'N' level.
If you need me to give you reasons and examples, you can pm me.

i am from normal acaemic stream and i really dont know whether or not i retake my 'N(A)' or just proceed with ITE..
Guys for Aerospace avionics' is it a good course? pls.. can i go to poly with GPA of 3.5.. i really regret for playing too much runescape during my level examinations :(....
Is ITE really so bad that people say "aiya no hope la die"...
Can i go to NYP if i take 'Aerospace Avionics' at full time NITEC course.. pls help :(...
I am 16 this year :(((
i suggest u repeat
n take yr future seriously.
it's ultimately in yr hands.
Hey man, I think it doesn't matter where you choose to go, you need to change your attitude first.
Are you really able to concentrate on studying and forget about the games?
I'm a JC student, to prepare A level 2009, I have mugged completely for 9 months, no life at all. I really want to do well in A's. If you are really serious and willing to put in your hardworks, then which path to take is not a question for you anymore.
ITE is not so bad afterall. My sister went through ite>poly>uni.
Sometimes, you need to face the truth...

ITE if you really must, then go simei, because the rest of the campus not really that good
And forgot to tell you, to score a 4 pointer, you must be good at both theory and practical

exactly.
how many from ite go nus? or even make it to poly?
lol, singapore is like that, even if it's only 1 in a million who made it, they will make a mountain out of a molehole.

Yes and sadly, you didn't read my post clearly, i'm not bragging i made it to NUS from ITE, i'm just proving that not all ITE students are pathetic like you all make it to be.There's still hope IF YOU PUT IN THE EFFORT. Stereotypes are stereotypes.
Wah dun play play with ITE, many from there make it to poly these days. Some classes have as much as half of them getting in. Why? Mainly also because of Republic Poly. It is like an ITE extension.
Got a fren who repeated primary 6 till primary 8, went to N levels, then went ITE, then poly, then NTU and now is an engineer based in the US.
May i suggest that either you retake ur Ns, get to O levels and move on from there, or if not, do the nitec, go on to poly etc.
It is a longer route but it doesnt matter as long as u get there.

no one says you're bragging.
no one says ITE students are pathetic.
everyone knows that that's still hope in everything as long as that's effort.
dont be so defensive will you?
im from ite also.

you can apply ITE in Machanical Technology course for 2 years.. =)
choose to retake cos GCE exams have age limit. You cant retake if u r 18.

You can take GCE 'O' or 'A' level exams anytime. Eg. when you're 50 years old.
