So i went for the typical singaporean route, went for primary school, then secondary school. I was originally planning to go for jc/poly then degree. However, this post http://www.sgforums.com/forums/1390/topics/298755?page=2 by the_fallen states that it is possible to "Quoting"
1- Get a N/O Level
2- Go Study Private School get Dip within 1 yr
3- Study harder get Degree (Private again; possible within
1-2yrs)
By then you enlist with same age but different education level:
thus the scholarship will be yours by than (Higher chance of
getting it)
[This short cut methu]od is what I would advise only if you're
still at that certain age and you really need to go through lots of
stuffs before you make that decision to sign on the line.[/u]
Disclaimer: Whatever I said as per above is to
the best of my knowledge as a Private who POP not long ago. So do
not take my words for real..It's just an comment I would give to
anybody when being asked upon even if they are my
friends.
Ok. So basically, is it possible to do this?? cos if it's possible, i waanna get a degree by 18 and sign on to scdf. is it possible to get a private dip and private degree by 18?!
The route you mention basically falls on private institution.
You ask yourself, if you are a boss/employer, would you employ someone from NUS/NTU/SMU or some private university which you never heard before?
If you want to sign on with any uniform group be it scdf, spf, navy, army, using a private degree/diploma and sign on they would only take your GCE O/N level as the highest qualification.
If you want a higher rank, you must sign on with local univeristy degree or diploma.
Having say that, have you ever think if its to easy to bypass the traditional route and get a degree before 18, why do ppl still go poly and eventually local uni for degree?
If you want a higher rank, you must sign on with local univeristy degree or diploma.
not really lei.
