Miss Ong Ai Ling, the well known Maths teacher has revealed her trade secrets on "O" level Add Maths in her new book
The url link is http://www.singaporeolevelmaths.com/a-math-treq-book/
She has shown the different types of questions that the Cambridge examiners will set for each topic, though she has not classified these questions by patterns.
Her questions are likely to be collected and formulated by her over the years of coaching and teaching.
However, it will be better if she uses the actual "O" level past years exam questions and classified them into the different types of questions that the Cambridge examiners will set for each topic by patterns.
Disclaimer : I do not know Miss Ong and I am not in anyway trying to promote her new book. I am just expressing my personal opinion.
You mean Ms Ong Ai Ling?

Hi Eagle,
Yes, I mean Ms Ong Ai Ling.
I have confused her with Miss Loi.
Sorry.
I read through the introductory copy of the book.
Without meaning any offence or insult to this Ms Ong Ai Ling, I feel that such a book is completely unneccesary.
Any competent student could easily master the subject both with or without the analytical methods used by the teacher in the book.
Yup, if a student spends more time doing questions, it is not surprising that the various types that can asked in a normal exam will be familiar.
The questions are all about the same one lar..

Not necessary so, just like last year question on binomial question. Many students do not know how to answer the question as this type of question is rarely asked in recent years.
Hi,
I have done up a basic classification of concepts and skills previously:

Hope it will be useful for a start, and suggestions are welcomed to enhance it further :)
Thanks in advance.
Cheers,

You do have a point there.
However, if a Prelim-Amaths F9 Student like myself could do both last year's binomial and the previous year's binomial question without a tutor/external help, that is where I question the amount of effort and individual capabilities of a student as compared to the usefulness of such a guidebook.
