  I got 12 for L1R5 and 9 for L1R4. I have discussed with my ex form teacher also. She said that I am very sure what I want, than go to poly.

  But I don't like projects and hands-on stuffs and I won't do well in these.

  Then my English teacher said 12 points should consider JC first, she adviced me to read alot more, get alot of general knowledge because GP is not just grammar anymore.

  My form teacher also added that combine science student will have a harder time studying the H2 sciences, but everything is possible with determination.

  Okay say alot liao... I want to be a IT guy when I grow up, there are many names for the job, like computer software engineer, IT professional etc...

  This is my results:

  English: B3

  EMaths: A1

  AMaths: A1

  Sci(Phy/Bio): A1

  Combined Humanities(SS/Geo): B3

  Chinese: B3

  D&T: D7

  Also, I have not been studying for the past 4 years in PHS.. I am quite happy and sad. Happy is because I can actually score better than what I had expected without studying alot. Sad is because if I started earlier, it will be better.

  I am very lazy when it comes to study. I don't know how to "cure" it. Should I get a study partner? Anyway what's done is done, must plan for future.

  I am thinking about the JC path. But also abit worried. I always speak Chinese when talking to people and have trouble speaking in English... Also given my studying attitude, is it too late for me to start to chiong?

  I really need some good advice please. Thank you for reading my wall of text...

  I require help. My results wasn't as expected, and I have gotten the following grades.

  English: A2

  E Maths: A1

  Science (Phys/Chem): A1

  Combined Humanities (Geog/SS): A2

  DNT: A2

  POA: A2

  Chinese: C5

  L1R5: 10, but with bonus points -2 = 8

  My aim is to enter TJC, science stream. However I do not meet the cut off point for it and upon checking their appeal process, I realised that I am required to fulfill this criteria:

  For Science Stream:
  English + E Maths + A Maths + 2 Pure Sciences (or Combined Science and a Pure Science) equal or better than 6 points

   

  However my subject combination does not contain the required subjects. Is anyone able to tell me about my chances of appeal and how I should proceed?

  ok need some suggestion on poly courses, my aim is to enter the accountancy course
  but i only meet the SP and NYP COP(12 and 13 respectively).
  i intend to put the SP accountancy course as my first choice but i fear the chance of getting in is very slim. but i'm quite determined to get into the course.
  
  Would it be wise if i put NP's accountancy course as one of the choices even if i don't meet the COP?  I'm more into the business orientated courses(banking&finance etc etc..) What are the alternatives in case i don't get into the desired accountancy course?

  you can try putting NP as 1st choice

  follow by SP then NYP

  i can bet with you, you will surely get into accountancy course.

  aiya..............go polytechnic better..............u all results so good............jus work hard in polytechnic also can go university one...........at least the diploma is better than an A levels

  hi guys my nephew gt a score of 28 for his L1R4. he is onli offered ITE courses. those in Higher Nitec.
  here are his grades
  english---B4
  Humanities (ss/geog)---C6
  Maths---C5
  BIO---E8
  science(phy/Chem)---D7
  Chinese---C6
  
  he is not sure where to go now so can u guys suggest?? perhaps maybe private or ITE.

  its called JAE now. anyway he lives with me at bishan and going to woodlands is kinda troublesome. and he cant get in most courses because he failed his sciences. How? is there nowhere else?
