hi! I just got my o lvl result today...
Its damn bad...
So I was wondering if I should choose between NOT-SO-GOOD JC or average average Poly...
wat is the university rate for NOT-SO-GOOD JC and poly?!
HELP PLZ
thank you!
poly i heard is 5% to uni. not so gd jc maybe a little higher. which course in uni do u want to take up?
certain courses allow more poly grad intake and others courses tend to have close to 0 poly students..
ty.... i wan take up business ba... i heard tat its quite popular...
every year about how many intake from poly into local uni?
ok...i shall help u blurt out the stats...cos i also interested in business and finance.
so help they are.
for nus. the grades required are aab/b. with 457 places...
ntu it is abb/b with 677 places.
ok...now for poly convert to gpa. that would require i think close to 4.0 gpa. which is maybe 5 to 10% of the total intake. higher poly intake for ntu than nus.
hope that helped.
if your final aim is uni education, it's better to go to a jc. no matter what jc you enter, you have a higher chance of getting into uni than being in poly.
oh... thanks you very much!
then how about yishun/seragoon JC into ntu/nus?
I'm at a lose....

true. but if u are a focused person and have already know what u wanna do in life...like u said u wanna be in business... then a motivated and focused person would be able to go to uni to study the course of yr choice if u put in effort.
and by going to poly to study the course of yr choice, u would not be say "wasting yr time" study other subjects that may be of little help to yr future career.
hope that made sense. :)
ok i see...
THANKS ALOT
DOES ANYONE KNOW THE % FOR GETTING INTO UNI FOR SERAGOON AND YISHUN JC?!

as for yishun and serangoon jc, im not sure. they didnt include in their website.. but i can give it a guess...maybe 15-20%? if u include entry to other uni courses besides business...
but for only business courses. i guess only 20 students max for each jc (ntu and nus combined)?
oh so little... i see.... oh well... i guess jc have a higher chance of getting into uni than poly....
yes. jc might have a chance of going uni then poly. but.
u r not the number( statitics) . u r u .
