I got 12 for L1R5 and 9 for L1R4. I have discussed with my ex form teacher also. She said that I am very sure what I want, than go to poly.
But I don't like projects and hands-on stuffs and I won't do well in these.
Then my English teacher said 12 points should consider JC first, she adviced me to read alot more, get alot of general knowledge because GP is not just grammar anymore.
My form teacher also added that combine science student will have a harder time studying the H2 sciences, but everything is possible with determination.
Okay say alot liao... I want to be a IT guy when I grow up, there are many names for the job, like computer software engineer, IT professional etc...
This is my results:
English: B3
EMaths: A1
AMaths: A1
Sci(Phy/Bio): A1
Combined Humanities(SS/Geo): B3
Chinese: B3
D&T: D7
Also, I have not been studying for the past 4 years in PHS.. I am quite happy and sad. Happy is because I can actually score better than what I had expected without studying alot. Sad is because if I started earlier, it will be better.
I am very lazy when it comes to study. I don't know how to "cure" it. Should I get a study partner? Anyway what's done is done, must plan for future.
I am thinking about the JC path. But also abit worried. I always speak Chinese when talking to people and have trouble speaking in English... Also given my studying attitude, is it too late for me to start to chiong?
Oh ya, I only minus 1 point from CCA, so its 11 points after bonus. I think 11 points can only enter Yishun and Innova leh. Nanyang, Meridian and Catholic all 10 points =( Also, it looks like this year alot ppl score very well, so the COP for JC may be even lower.
I really need some good advice please. Thank you for reading my wall of text...
I also want teachers that will drive students de.
Whether Poly or JC, all depends on what you want to do in life, in terms of career and profession.
My only comment is :
You got A1 for Phys/Bio. Good. But you don't take Chemistry at all. Jialat liao / Habis.
I was going to say "don't worry, even with only combined science (no pure science), H2 science won't be more of a problem for you than a pure science student, as long as your JC allow you take H2 Science. Moreover you did so well, A1 leh. But wheres... your... chem... jialat... nvm."
Wasted no chem. Means you can't take H2 Chem. Nvm, you still can take H2 Physics. That's good.
Assuming you eventually end up in a JC taking science, you can still take H2 Physics, H2 Maths, and H2 Biology.
Just a pity you can't take H2 Chem, which would be able to open many more doors (ie. courses) in the University for you.
Okay thank you, I think I will be going to YJC and take H2 computing, H2 Maths, H2 Physics and H1 Geography ba =)
Yea Physics must really jiayou le hehe.

Hi,
It'll be good for you to find out more details about Computing, since it's a totally unfamiliar subject to all. Thanks.
Cheers,
Wen Shih
Yes I will, thank you for your advice.
Dear friend,
You mentioned you wanted to do IT in the future right.
My advice is that you should go poly because most of the people who make it in the IT line in Sngapore are from Poly.
Secondly, JC dont really teach you hands on experiences and you will face great difficulties when you enter into Uni. You must remember that you are going to serve two years NS.
Finally, you mentioned that you are not good in English. Language takes time and even if you can chiong, there are limitations you face because your teacher already said GP not grammer but more towards general knowledge.
Therefore give a serious thought on what you want to do and dont just simply follow the crowd because your score is also good for admission into JC.
Thanks
