Good luck!
Good luck to all a level students, but seriously not sure who?
Best of luck to all A level students.
But seriously, if you base your exam results on pure luck, it's like playing russian roulette with 5 bullets in the chamber.

Arts Subject? maybe.
Science subjects? It is more like you are playing russian roulette with a fully load uzi.
It is often said that IP students always have an added advantage as they are in elite JCs.
It will be useful if we can find the data that shows the PSLE students with score of 262 who opt for IP and those who opt for non IP and how their "A" level results are correlated.
Similarly, it will be useful if we can find data that those "O" level who are 6 pointers or better but they are unable to get into the elite JCs and how their "A" level results are correlated.
All the best to the kids getting their results tomorrow! : D
correlation does not imply causation...
other than academic results we should also consider personal growth.. whether throughout these 6 years students learn something other than scoring well in exams..

Very true.
But unfortunately academic results still speak louder, considering that the future of the kids rely directly on it.

it's not just the elite JCs but also the time they have to prepare right?

cca won't help unless you have a high position in a good school. even then, you need CIP and other stuff

Have your team received any awards during your time in it?
If no, then it won't be of any help.
i would like to ask if it is still the same nowadays regarding GP...wads the outcome for students who fail GP but cleared the rest wif flying colours? i noe during my time, fail GP means gone...
pls consolidate all "this results can go where" threads here

quite good. but the fact is with all due respect, it is easier to be a somebody in SA and get a high position than a somebody in HwaChong or Raffles.

i agree with you. what matters is did you get Colours award, are you in the top 2 positions, not some other secretary or treasurer.you see in schools like RJ and hwa chong alone, just the captains + vice captains + councillors in school excluding other exco positions amount to around 200. so 200x 2 = 400. 400 + maybe some other 100 from the rest of the schools. 500 applying for limited places. some more , some people have math olympiad, represent country and get 6th in the world. etc. some people 1000 hours of CIP, i'm not exaggerating. there are people who get that even under the strictest CIP system in singapore
