I'm currently stuck in a JC and i hate JC life, and i cant go to a poly now as the admission dates are all over. I can only enter next year. I'm thinking of leaving JC and to work for the rest of the year before going to poly next year. Is it normal? Does anyone do that?
u can still go poly. provided ur l1r5 or l1r4 below 10 . asked this at jc open house.
now not very late yet, faster go to the poly you want and ask them.
no i called 2 poly today and both said there is absolutely no way to enter unless u have appealed beforehand
meaning that's 3 left to try
i asked the operator of 1 of the poly and i'm told that ALL poly admission dates are over

There do are individuals who choose that route. However, the danger lies in being too accustomed to the work-life, which will result in the decision of not going back to study. Of course, such a decision usually comes back to haunt those who have taken it.
Anyway, call up the other 3 polys and enquire if they will allow you to cross-over. If the answers are all flat 'No's, then inform your parents and your JC of your decision before actually taking it.
Personally, I will advice you to stay in your JC for the year before you come to any conclusions, but ultimately, it is still your own choice.
i want to stay in JC but the thing is i have lost all interest in studying so many different topics, none i'm interested in. I want to devote all my learning on something i'm actually passionate about. I'm going to JC everyday just pretending to be alert during lectures and tutorials.
PS: I'm actually intending to join Veterinary Technology/ Bioscience and only the 2 poly I've contacted offers that

This suggestion may have come out of the blue, but I can assure you it won't be a bad one. Why not go overseas for your studies?
Since Singapore universities, regardless of national or private ones, do not offer veterinary degrees, it will do you good to take up the diploma in an institute which offer a degree programme as well. This way, you can enter the degree program once you have finished your diploma studies (Provided that you do well for the diploma program that is.)
do you mean go study overseas now?? i doubt my parents can afford anyway though.

Yes, that is what I am suggesting.
Well, eventually you will have to find some way to support your degree studies overseas, unless you plan to be a vet assistant for the rest of your career life.
