Is it worth to Repeat JC1 to change stream/combination?

  Hi, Im currently a J1 arts student doing the combination of

  H2: Econs, Maths, Lit  and H1: CSE

  However, I cannot seem to be able to understand Literature as of late, and I can hardly understand what prose, poetry and literary techniques is all. I kind of regret choosing my combination. I cannot change combination as it is relatively too late. Im finding CSE a bit of a struggle at the moment too.The thought of repeating J1 resurfaced my mind, and hence like I considered these options of

  H2: Chem,Phy,Math H1: Econs

  H2: Chem, Econs, Math, H1: History

  H2: History, Literature, Econs H1: Math

  H2: History, Econs, Maths H1: Chem

  So is it worth repeating in the science Stream, as I had an A2 for combined science (chem/phy) at Os, as may have second thoughts of wanting to go medicine. Well accountancy is fine oso la. Or is it better to do another Arts combination. From sec, I thought I was arts inclined, but at the moment, I only seem to be able to cope with H2 Maths. What should I do??

  Easily the most useful subject combination for University Science courses admission. Do this.

  Hi SBS7238L,

  Since you have already chosen the current route which you are taking, I will strongly advise you to do your best for this one year, and make any decisions only after you have received your promotional results.

  And since you are having problems now, perhaps you will like to seek help from your peers or the teachers, and see if you are able to better understand the subjects with their aid.

  Most importantly, do not have the mindset that "I am going to repeat the year, so I will not put in any effort". Instead, try to take one step by one step, and see if anything comes out of it.

  Well it's definitely better to repeat one more year and ace your As than flop the As after 2, like moi. Lol. Best would be to consult your subject tutors or any tutors you are comfortable with to find out the root of your problem--eg.wrong analysis skills etc, before you give up?I flunked everything including my lit and did not take lit in sec sch but in the end it was the only subject that I got an A for, which I got even without knowing all my literary terms.So, lit actually isn't very technical,just gotta understand your text and be able to express and support your own opinions on the given question.   Hi, but Im now left with three options. Either to take up medicine law or accountancy so to get a professional degree. To take Medicine is it worth taking PCME or CMEH? I got only combined sci at Os. For accountancy shd I take up HELM or HEMC as indeed I'm still struggling with lit.

  yah indeed my class is coping bloody well with everything except math h2

  Another thing ah, between History and Literature which would be easier to score, as o be frank I'm having a huge headache trying to understand literary techniques
