hi all, i'm confused with the admission requirements for combination of certs. In this page http://askntu.ntu.edu.sg/Home/hybrid/Themes/NTU/answers.asp?ProjectId=7474024&CurProjectId=7474024&MesId=2942525&isCFP=&isListings=&goBack=&From=Show&TOPV=YES&VMesID=623043&loginsession=No , they say can combine MTL and PW and H1 subjects..my qn does H1 subjects means H1 contrasting subject and GP? then in http://askntu.ntu.edu.sg/Home/hybrid/Themes/NTU/answers.asp?ProjectId=7474024&CurProjectId=7474024&MesId=2942542&isCFP=&isListings=&goBack=&From=Show&TOPV=YES&VMesID=623040&loginsession=No , they said otherwise...so which one is true?
Combining of cert (within 12 months) is only to help you meet prerequisites (eg. a minimum of C in GP), it does NOT allow you to combined your A grade subjects from 2009 with your A grade subjects from 2010.
In other words, as far as the Uni admission score for specific courses is concerned, when competing with other candidates for a place in the course, they'll still take your results FROM A SINGLE EXAM SITTING.
So if you want to retake your 'A' levels, retake EVERY SUBJECT in one sitting, eg. Nov 2010.
For Science courses in the Uni, take H2 Chem, H2 Physics, H2 Maths. Even if one of these is new to you (eg. you didn't take it in JC), it's worth studying up on your own (with tuition to help you, if you can afford it), because these 3 subjects are the most important of all subjects in JC level.
so in other words, for example a guy who got his results in 2009 gt an A for Gp and screws up his 3 H2 and his new results at 2010, he got D for his GP and AAA for his H2s, so if he wants to go Nanyang business sch, base on what u said, he can use GP for yr 2009 to combine for his 2010's results right?

No. He can use his GP for 2009 to say, "I passed the minimum requirements for GP". But when competing with others for a place in Nanyang business sch, his score will be computed using his D grade for GP in 2010.
i actually think that project work do not require a qualification period of 12 months only. I have friends who retained the first year, but repeat the year with no pw and then continue to go to the unis with their first pw scores. My teachers also said pw do not have any qualification period..
