Classification of Materials
One common way is to classify materials is according to physical properties such as strength, hardness, density, flexibility, electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity boiling point and melting point.
Is waterproof considered as a physical property? What is the science definition for water proof? I am given the understanding that any material that does not allow water to pass through is waterproof.
Please advise.
Thank you

What level are you studying at? There is no chemistry syllabus that requires the definition of 'waterproof'. If you're at secondary school level, then the definition that you yourself just gave will suffice.
And yes, being 'water proof' may be considered a physical property. Because no chemical reaction is involved when the material comes into contact with water.
Yes indeed. This is too high level.
