Anyone can advise how to do this qn (with workings)
In a simple experiment of rolling a six-sided dice, the following events were defined:
E = {Numbers bigger than 4}
F = {Odd Numbers}
Find the probability of Event E or Event F occurring. Show your workings utilizing the General Addition Rule.
Thanks
Hi,
Follow the approach below:
1. List the elements of the sets E, F, and E intersect F.
2. Find P(E occurs), P(F occurs) and P(E and F occur).
3. Apply the result P(E or F occurs) = P(E occurs) + P(F occurs) - P(E and F occur).
Thanks.
