is it ok if i get 50- 60 plus for E-math and 80-90 for A-math? will it affect my O level cert?
you will then get a C5/B4 for EM and a A1/ A2 for AM
It will be ugly, however, some students are like that one, AM is better than EM, nothing wrong, however, you need to really work on your EM, as moderation is always there to haunt you, but really, AM your result are stable, good for you, as beyond O levels, EM is relatively less useful than AM, no matter you go JC or Poly.
Some tips of EM
1. Look at different perspectives (the questions are more asymmetrical than AM ones)
2. Practise and more practise is needed
3. Learn formulas by hard, and apply correctly.
However, if your other subjects are solid enough, a L1R5 of 6 is no problem as L1R5 is as calculated
L1 - EL/HMT
R1- Arts (Humanilities)
R2 - Maths / Sciences
R3- Humans / Maths / Sciences
R4 R5 - All you choose (except CCA)
for ELR2B2
El - EL lah
R2: At most 1 Math is needed (But some poly courses need B3 for AM/EM)
B2: Best 2
ty for the reply. as far as i know, the chapter that pulls down my EM results are the similarities and congruence of triangles in sec 3...from your experience, during your time, can you remember if there is plentiful of those questions in your O level EM paper? thanks
you may see the last year 2009 paper, that's my paper
dun worry too much, this topic will not haunt you so much, maybe 3 - 5 marks
Btw, i have a double A1 in A and E maths
