The Millennium Prize Problems are 7 problems in mathematics that were stated by the Clay Mathematics Institute in 2000. As of June 2010, six of the problems remain unsolved. A correct solution to any of the problems results in a US$1,000,000 prize (sometimes called a Millennium Prize) being awarded by the institute. Only the Poincaré conjecture has been solved, by Grigori Perelman.
For each problem, the Institute had a professional mathematician write up an official statement of the problem, which will be the main standard by which a given solution will be measured against. The seven problems are:

Just wondering, anyone ever thought of trying to solve them? There is a US$1m prize money to entice people to solve it...
Maths pro go solve it.

- P versus NP
- The Hodge conjecture
- The Poincaré conjecture - solved, by Grigori Perelman
- The Riemann hypothesis
- Yang–Mills existence and mass gap
- Navier–Stokes existence and smoothness

There are mathematicians who have spent decades of effort into tackling these questions.
The 1 million is not an easy sum to get, it is something which you will have to really earn.
