If a child with special needs/disabilities does something that is against the law out there... while in school or out in public with a friend that is not a native.... are they punished just like normal people or are children punished different??? I am not sure if I have the right place... if not please direct me... thanks...
I think cannot punish them. I meant if u punish lets say an austistic child, punish him no use also.
In most cases, the defence lawyer will put up a defence based on, say, the sub-normal intelligence of the accused. While that alone may not absolve the accused of any crime or wrongdoing, the courts will usually take this factor into consideration in sentencing.
