  Gabriel takes a bus or cab to go to school. On a rainy day, the probability Gabriel takes a bus or a cab to school is 1/6 and 1/12 respectively. Assuming Gabriel’s choice of transport in independent of weather,

  (a)    Find the probability that it will rain when Gabriel goes to school

  (b)   Find the probability that Gabriel will take a bus to school on a non-rainy day.

    (b) Use (a) to find P(non-rainy day), then apply the multiplication principle.
