Does anyone has last year's 2009 secondary 1 mid term and final term exam papers for all subjects that I can use to go over as review with my daughter?
I also read that a member here said it is illegal - and i want to let her know it isnt. It is very common for students to use past exam papers as practice to polish up a student's knowledge of these subjects.
Thank you.
its illegal in the sense that the copyright for the exam paper belongs to the school. In order to distribute the exam papers, you will need to get permission from the school
Having said that, there are a lot of stalls in shopping centres such as Lot 1 and Bt Panjang Plaza selling exam papers... you can check them out
The maths test papers and assignments of other schools can be found LEGALLY if your child's school has subscribed to www.heymath.com.sg ie your child would have been given the userid id and password to the website and inside the website, there are more than 100 secondary school maths test papers and assignments that you can donwload and practise them with your child.
the heymaths.com.sg link seems to be broken .. can the public subscribe to it ?

The url link should be www.heymath.com.sg. I am not sure whether the public can subscribe to it but many government secondary schools have subscribed their students to the heymath website.
Actually nothing much legal or illegal.
Take a look at Chinese High 2004 Physics Prelim Paper vs Geylang Methodist 2008 Physics Prelim Papers.
You will notice that 3 of the questions were repeated.
copyright is a grey area..
as long as dont copy whole sale, try to make some modifications...
for the purpose of education should be ok bah
ehh. actually the printed tests/ asessements that they sell under under shopping centers are technically illegal i think.
but if you cant access heymath, i think you should get your daughter to ask her teachers, usually they will gladly print out the past year papers for her (at least one for their school)
