I started off in temasek poly this year in a course i hated. I was thrown into the course and didn't enjoy it. After 4 months, i withdrew out from the course. I'm currently working but intending to go back to poly next year.
I didnt do very well for my O levels. I only got a decent below average l1r4 of 16. However, I hate math and belong more to the english side. But my cop can't make it to mass com or creative writting.
i would like to enquire what are the chances of getting into a course with DAE? and are ex polytechnic students allowed to use JPSAE to get into a course via passion//aptitude for that course//portfolios?
I do look forward to hearing any advice? because I'm really afraid that I won't get into a course i'm interested in next year!
Ex poly student can only use DAE if im not wrong.

Being a lingustic person does not mean you have to take mass comm or creative writing courses.
You can consider business courses or humanities courses. I don't think it matters whether you were an ex-poly student or not because admission is mostly through O Level results.
But some polytechnics offers special interviews like DAE, which focuses on your personal qualities and interests.
Good luck!
The chances of you being able to get a course in DAE is low.
Priority goes to JAE.
Based on experience. Unless you are ELR2B2 = <10 or or you met some special requirement like the Distinction for Maths and Sciences, your chance is very low.
His points 16 is ok
Using DAE should not be a problem, but i suggest TS aim for engineering or IT where the intake is big.
If aiming for business, keep your finger crossed.
Thank you so much for the advice, will consider all options! =)
