are there any ways to increase chances to get into a poly course you're very interested in? Like send your portfolio over to the course manager's office or something?
Is MI good?
Is MDIS good?
Advise please and thank you!
Yes portfolio for Arts Design and Media etc related polytechnic course. You will be asked to send in a portfolio before going interview. Such courses are usually popular and have limited number of intake. Therefore, they not only will assess your portfolio, but also test your aplitude and passion in the course.
Portfolio may come in many forms depend on the course that you are interested in. Could be music video, arts design drawings, photography etc. Good portfolio gives you added advantage over other students. Port folio submission is applicable for some courses only.
*If the course does not require you to send in portfolio, then whether you send or don't send will not affect any outcome. * And any outcome is determined by your GCE O Level Results.
MI is similar to JC, but only 3 years. Quite a good alternative if you find JC 2 year programme stress.
In my opinion, MDIS's management can do better in serving the students. There are many negative comments around the net about MDIS's style of management. You may want to look around the internet.
Alternatively, you may email to them for a consultation (tour the campus) and decide if the school suits you. They generally welcome people to tour the campus.
