This year, 4,151 Normal (Academic) students sat for one or more subjects in the O-Level Examination3. These students are eligible to proceed to Sec 5 Normal (Academic) if they obtain an aggregate not exceeding 19 points in English Language (EL), Mathematics and best three subjects and a Grade 5 or better for both EL and Mathematics, using their combined GCE Normal (Academic) Level and their school-based O-Level preliminary examination results. (from seab 2009)
hi... May i know what the senctence i bold means?
Dear ZaiDancerz,
Sometimes 3NA students are given a choice to study Amaths, and examined at 4NA. Before 4NA students take the GCE O Level Amaths, they will have to take the school Prelim for O Level Amaths.
The bold sentence is telling you... The school will also consider the fact that you may have taken an O Level subject when you are 4NA level, they might promote you to sec 5.
