THE 2010 Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE) results will be released on Thursday.
Pupils can obtain their results slips from their respective schools from 12pm onwards.
Eligible students will also receive option forms from their respective primary schools to select secondary schools. These forms are required to be given to the pupils' parents.
In every sealed Secondary One (S1) Option Form, there will be a unique S1 Personal Identification Number (S1 PIN) which allows parents to submit options for their child's secondary school online via the S1 Internet System (S1-IS).
The S1-IS is accessible 24 hours a day through the Ministry Of Education's Secondary One Posting website at www.moe.gov.sg/education/admissions/secondary-one-posting/ starting from 12pm on Thursday to 3pm next Tuesday.
Parents can also submit their child's secondary school options through their child's primary school from 12pm to 3pm on Nov 25, and 9am to 3pm between Nov 26 and Dec 1 on weekdays.
The Secondary 1 posting results will be released on Dec 22, Wednesday.
I wish those students taking PSLE this year all the best when they receive their result slips.
Good Luck to them :)

Is there anywhere online to check secondary school's new COP without having the booklet thing?
And I like how when interviewed, the top students are able to articulate well.

188 the minimum I think. You can try appealing (but most likely fail).
Best to go to Normal Academic Stream in a good school, do your very best and go up to Sec 2 Express...

Thanks for the link! Urgh, schools in Yishun generally on the decline, even Ahmad Ibrahim, lucky I got rejected from there and went Yishun Town instead back then.

My colleague told me go to Normal (A) is much better, the pace is slower and manageable. And wll be able to concentrate and absord more. But going to express is of course good if your kid is good and mature to take 4 yrs.
My question is, which school is a good school for N(A)?
Any one or any parents has any idea?
Recently, my kid has bring few neighbourhood secondary school, and they ar marketing their school. But which one in spore is a good school for normal (a)? I need help with this.
Please help help.
If wan go NA, then choose those good schools with COP of 230 and above for their express stream. Normally, studying NA there is as good as studying in those 188 neighbourhood schs' express stream. I heard a few cases whereby some kids could get into the express stream, but instead they chose to go 5 years in a good school rather than going 4 years in a lousy sch.
if this type of score, just choose the one near ur house
so tt u can save time on travelling and more time on catching up on sch work

Choose those sec sch with better COP... at least 220 and above for its Express Stream.
Sec sch with low Express Stream COP usually has to concentrate on its Express Stream students, so they tend to forget NA Stream students, with passing rate for NA Stream students to be 55% or lower for GCE 5 or more O Level passes.
And also the students' attitude in NA Stream quite bad in schools with low COP, and your child probably might end up being like them.
