Just a quick question, I couldn't find any of the JC's policies towards usage of laptops during classes. So anyone knows if laptops can be used during classes, or is it back to pen and paper?
Hi,
HOD/ICT is the ones who will stipulate usage of notebooks within college. Thanks.

Actually a lot depends on your teachers. Some teachers are okay with it, whereas others will make noise.
Ask for their permission first before you switch it on in your class.
Hi,
I believe students use laptops frequently for Project Work. JCs have wireless LAN infrastructure these days as well, to encourage independent learning through the use of ICT. Thanks.

actually during lectures, you should be able to do so, but notes are already there to copy, hence, not a need
For tutorials, worksheets are provided so i don't think there is an acute need to employ a laptop
But for PW... YES !!!!! You should have one, for OP, WR all these "irritating" papers. And it will look goof to your group if you are willing to contribute your laptop. Remember to buy a VGA adaptor if you are using a mac
