  I was just browsing through Ultimaonline's thread on 'A' Level Chemistry Qns (A Collection Part 2) and saw that he had a link to the list of recommended texts for Chemistry students. I am surprised Morrison & Boyd's Organic Chemistry wasn't included in his list. I used that book since my JC1 days and it served (and still serves) as an essential text especially on Org Chem topics. Peter Sykes' book is also highly recommended.   Thanks for sharing. I especially like the following entry, which describes the relationship between physics, chemistry, and (upon extrapolation) biology as well. The 3 sciences are intimately interconnected, and none is 'above' the other two. Though arguably, Chemistry is in every way the Central Science, between Physics and Biology.
