Basically, I achieved C6 for my HMT, and it would appear as an E in A levels. So, I am considering whether to re-take O levels HMT exams again, or take H1MT during JC. Or better still, if MT doesn't count for much when applying to a Singapore uni (like NUS), I don't even want to take it ><.
Please note that I am referring to applying for highly competitive course/faculties in those unis (like medicine, dentistry, business(?) and etc.)
Thanks for all advice given ^^.
not impt unless you intend to study chinese at uni level
i got an E for A level chinese and was shortlisted for both medicine and dentistry last year
if u not going for FASS chinese language/studies then it's ok
but it's ugly to have all As and an E on the result slip

MT does not appear on the same result slip as the rest (physics, chemistry etc.)

I agree with this. It really depends on what you are applying for. Do look out the respective University Websites for more information.
Quoted from NUS:
Admission to the University is based on an applicant’s University Admission Score (UAS) comprising the grades of six A-level subjects as follows:
• Best three H2 and one H1 content-based subjects, with at least 1 content subject from a contrasting discipline
• General Paper (GP) or Knowledge and Inquiry (KI)
• Project Work (PW)
The best Mother Tongue Language (MTL) subject grade (e.g. H1 MTL or O-level higher MTL) will be considered only if the candidate provides the result for consideration. The University will include it in the scoring only if it raises the competitiveness of the candidate.

Oooooh, good XD Because I am not too keen on memorising chinese idioms, quotes and stuff again >< And it will give me more time to deal with other subjects ^^
Anyway, thanks!
MT is always impt
maybe your father marry your mother because of your MT
