Well i am still trying to get used to JC life as alot of things differ from secondary school. For instance, there is no textbook just tons of notes to buy. Personally, i feel that the notes are quite brief.
Any "A" level guide book to recommend me?
Any tips on how to survive 2 years in JC?
study... learn why things happen rather than try to remember all kinds of facts..
you're getting an education, not regurgitating stuff to get some piece of paper
For H2 Chemistry, these are the University-level textbooks I recommend :

for?
what discipline do you want to pursue after your A-levels?
dun play too much in JC1. lots of JC1 students ended up focusing too much with their friends and cca.. neglected their studies..
and oso JC is not really a good time for BGR relationships....
Work hard, study hard, and remember that there is a difference between getting a certificate and getting an education.
If you didn't understand what I meant in the last part of what I said, then that means that you have plenty of learning to do.

Work hard and smart is the best tip.
JC life is definitely freaking stressful compared to secondary school. Start fresh from your first day of school. You cannot even afford to slack. Once you slack, and the content slips by you, its quite hard to re-capture it. Plus every after lecture, remember to recap them!
Hi,
Here is a list of tips on how you can study smartly.
1. Read the subject's syllabus to have a broad idea of the topics and their specific learning objectives.
2. Study the examples in the lecture notes carefully; see how they will apply similar principles when you solve problems in the tutorial sheets.
3. Develop your own topical summaries instead of relying on those from teachers. Nearer examination periods, extend your summaries to connect across topics.
4. Obtain your school's most recent examination papers and study the types of question that have been asked.
5. Observe your teachers' non-verbal cues nearer school's examination periods to help you arrive at possible questions that may appear.
Thanks.
Cheers,
Wen Shih
