"
The University considers applications from mature candidates, that is, persons who would be at least 23 years of age by the 1st October of the year or by the beginning of the course for which they apply.
Entry as a Mature Student
Mature applicants may not necessarily be required to present the formal qualifications listed above. However, they may be accepted on the basis of a wide variety of acquirements. The Admissions Board, acting on the advice of a faculty admissions committee, assesses mature candidates in order to ascertain whether they possess the necessary academic background to follow the proposed course with profit.
It is important that mature candidates contact the University in order to discuss the acceptability of their current qualifications (including relevant experience), and to seek early advice about how to meet any additional requirements for a particular course."
the above mature entry referring to UM or NUS?
Definately going to nus is the best option.
Yeah, NUS is in need of a boost from more foreign students to bring up its rankings of top 20, from the bottom.
Obviously NUS is better choice. UM is useless university. Even if you can get in, you will be studying with the Malays who got into there easier way of Matriculation. There r rumour tat lecturers there tend to give Malays the exam sheets before exam to give them the edge. But normaly they don't know how to do, so they refer them to the smart chinese n indians (who r the cream de la cream of STPM). This is the way Malaysia works in study n working place.

TS oledi say taking STPM - for chinese n indians. Malay (optional).
Anyway tis is Singapore where all races r treated fairly.
I think currently, Universiti Malaya is better than Singapore Univeristies. The reason is because our govt take care of foreign talent more than local talent, and as our PM said, we got not enough local talent, we need more foreign talents, so from malaya universiti, you are consider as foreign talent, very much in demand here.
