Hi guys, I would like to find out more about the School Graduation Certificate, issued after one's secondary education. Is this piece of paper really important? Are we required to use it for say, scholarship or job applications? Oh, about the CCA part of the certificate, is there a maximum number of CCAs they will put there, since, I have 4 ccas in total.
Dear Libros545,
I assume you're in JC now.
It's like a formative assessment by your teachers and principal on your personal qualities and traits. It incldes academic, non-academic and a testimonial section. Don't worry about the CCA as all your CCAs will be listed down in the certificate.
It's like a credential and will be helpful for scholarship and job applications. This certificate is part of MOE's holistics assessment report for graduates from secondary and post-secondary education.
For more information, please refer to MOE: School Graduation Certificate.

Thanks a lot!
Hi,
A scholarship or job applicant will need to go for an interview to be assessed for suitability in addition to the documents (SGC, certificates, testimonials, etc) submitted. Sometimes, the potential candidate may have to take an aptitude test.
Thanks.
Cheers,
