I'm currently in a prime girls school who is sitting for the O's this year. I am in a dilemma of which JC should I choose. Family and friends have been hinting greatly on RJC, HCJC and VJC but I attended TJC talk today and I'm kind of in dilemma.I saw the programme ..it is a programme starts with "m" which only top 15% student are selected to join.Research programmes offered by TJC and other academically inclined programmes. Also, I noticed the scholarship programme offered and the talk was really heartwarming. Should I proceed to aim for RJC.HCJC and VJC or should I join TJC arm with a result that is applicable of RJC,HCJC and VJC?
Ok look.
Just do what you deem it's best, work for it, Don't just because people say how good JC are and following them. The JC system might work(for them), but not for you.
Don't worry, work hard now and you can have more options to play with. I'm not sure if you can choose both but trust me if you work hard you can smile in the end..
Just like my classmates who think how 'good' is higher NITEC, but me thinks differently.
Don't fall for all those heart-warming talks, go with your gut feelings.
Sucker?..hell no haha but it was really heartwarming.;D You see, it is kind of uneasy to see a clouded vision of where to go..I know I should work for the A1s that I should be getting but isnt it nicer to know where I would be landing in few months time? The websites are not helping though...
Yes granted it's hard but try to socialize more, I believe your family members/relative are from good schools?
I, or rather we can't guarantee where you'll end up in a few months time, If let's say you live in the west you travel all the way to the east, eg VJ etc it's going to sap your energy up to do other things, But most of all go with your heart.
But if your results are good enough to play around with both poly and JC, Then why not?
I dont mind travelling for school :)
I wish I can follow what my heart says but you see my parents have certain expectations (more like instructions) for me to go this certain JC and take the subj combi that they want.In fact, they have "chosen" the career path for me..
Im not against their well wishes but ....arghh it is killing me though..not to have a say. I'm still trying to figure a way to really voice my opinions? I tried to test the waters today by sayin I wanna go TJC and their reactions are like..WHAT?
Helpless man.
No offence but poly is a big NO-NO for my parents dude.
Wow if it's your parents come from good schools I'd say it's hard.
I'm not sure where you live but location is the thing that saps your energy hard, Even you don't mind.
If poly is is a big no-no then it's going to be very very hard, But bear in mind that not everyone is suited to the JC system.
Tell that to my parents lah.
Sigh.
I want to heed your advice-go with my heart(provided it is still working after all these years).I mean it is the most common thing to go with right? But I dont think that I have that luxury man.
I will have to work my ass off and then choose the JC,...They kind of give a discount-choose any top 5 JC if it is too difficult for me.
Sighing again.
The ones that you listed are all very good schools.. Just pick one that is most accessible to you. =P
It really sucks to be honest, I feel sorry for TS.
But if I were you I'd be a bit rebel like, but guess I can't do anything about it.
Sorry ts, but which jc do you want to go?
Wayne471:Yeah.
TIB1167D:Yeah I know. I'm not gonna rebel neither am I intend to remain being submissive but I think I fall in the cracks of madness between them.Anyways, nice talking to ya and it is pleasant to hear different views and ideas.;)
Whichever sch uniform looks nicer to you.
To put in perspective, YOU are going to wear that uniform for 2 years.
You had better worn one you like.
just go RJC if you can achieve the results. they will always try to lure you during their open house and everything. but the school and its results speak for themselves. Just choose and go for the best.
I believe that you should choose the insitution that you wanted to go and work for it!
CaiHongRainx:Its Apohphis by the way. I kind of interested with TJC? But my parents want me to go somewhere better.Hmmm...
SBS2061D:LOL.Yeah hor?Uniform eh?Ermm..Waddaya think?TJ's Green uni, VJ's cream-coloured uni or Rj's white and green Uni?
BlacknBlue:Yeah, everyone wants the best but I heard rumours of the 'meaness' of people in those high-end JCs like throwing your notes in the trash? I think what matters most is the journey and time that I'm gonna spend with my peers? At the end of the day, we all gonna seat for the same papers mate.
Try to persuade your parents why you want to go to tjc. Maybe on your part, think of the differences between the jcs that your parents want you to go and tjc. Is it really only the results? Or there is something else.
rumours are rumours.. Yea things like that are bound to happen in top schools but it's not like everyday, and you probably won't see it when you are there.. Yes. Journey and peers are important. But then again you can experience this in any school..
CaiHong Rainx: Yeah, I am trying.
Blacknblue: Yup.Hmmm..true.
I'd choose RI(JC) if I were you, just my $0.02 (based on the assumption you are able and qualified to enter the institution, that is)
choose the one with the shortest pants
And the shortest skirt.
All JC got Its pros and cons. Please take your time to consider which is suitable for you.
Why dont u research more on the JCs first?
