Hi, a few hours ago, i sat for my MT chinese oral.
However, i failed at my conversation. I went out of point during the conversation and the examiner actually 'pulled' me back. My question is, how many marks will be deducted for being out of point and 'pulled'
yeah, i maintained the flow and recovered quite well.. so how much do you think will be deducted?
i wasn't there to hear u so how u think i would know?
if u think u have done relli badly, make up for it in P1 and P2
I mean, normally for getting out of point and being pull back, how much marks will get deducted?
can u tell me wat u said?
Okay, it was suppose to be riding bicycle on walking path. however, i said the traffic road instead and give an example on it( the case when the bicycle bang with a pedestrian and the cyclist died). the examiner then said it was suppose to be walking path and not traffic road and hence, i start talking about walking path and answering her questions too. I told my chinese teacher afterwards what i said and she said it was okay. Please help me see how much mark will i be deducted. 3?4? or 5? for drifting off and saying traffic road
wats the qn?
i think u will also fail your english oral
ello? chinese oral rite?

I think P1 also in trouble if this is an accurate reflection.
So normally for this case of being 'pulled' back.
how much marks will be deducted? Please tell me cause a few of my friends face this problem too and they want to know if not they will feel uncomfortable.
You shouldn't worry too much abit it as the weightage is not as high as your paper 1 and paper 2.
In MT oral examinations, there are 4 grades, Fail, Pass, Merit and Distinction.
If you think you didn't do too well then you may fall in the Merit category.
But that doesn't mean you will do badly for the overall subject. I've seen people scoring A1 for Chinese even though they only attained a Pass or Merit for Oral.
Good luck =)
Hey The Aldric, Thanks a million.
But i WOULD like to know how much marks would be deducted from conversation(the 30marks) so i can know roughly what grade i got for oral. So do u know how much marks would be deleted? 5? 6?
