  Hello homework forum~

   

  Need help for a simple maths question which I have no recollection of.

   

  Find x:
  
  10^x-2 = 3^10+x

  Hi,

    I believe you meant

    10^(x - 2) = 3^(10 + x)?

    Suppose that is the question, we take natural log on both sides to give

    (x - 2) ln 10 = (10 + x) ln 3,

    from which we make x the subject.
