3. concentration of sodium hydroxide in a flask was found to be 8.0g/dm3 (call this solution X). What is the final concentration of the solution produced when 100 cm3 of distilled water is added to 100 cm3 of sol X?
This is my solution:
(100/1000) dm3 = 0.1 dm3 distilled water: 0.1 dm3
0.1 x 8g/dm3 = 0.8 g mol = conc x vol
mol of NaOH: (0.8/40) = 0.02 mol 0.02 mol = conc x (0.1 +0.1)
(0.02 mol / 0.2) = conc
= 0.1 mol/dm3 #
is this correct?
May I know the original volume of Sol X please?
Gosh!!! How could I have missed that?
