I wrote the traditional circular format of circus.for q7 they ask what resemble only . so i think acrobatic performances is just the answer
Because the passage says "The Chinese State Circus, a touring circus in the traditional circular format........" -
I dont know leh heard last year's A1 rose to 80%. But then some other people say cambridge damn lenient and bell curve not steep. Who to believe? :S

who you heard from ? cannot be . english bell curve wont be so steep . last year 45 was alr a c6 . this was what i heard from my friend . he saw it from the cambridge marker report. -

Jerald: i think he heard rumours... Maybe the C6 is 45 but the distinction grade also very high? After all its in the shape of a bell, meaning lesser F9s and lesser As. I just hope the distiction grade maintains at 70 or drop :(
Boi: i wrote 'prime' for zenith. I think peak is accepted too. Beset means harassed... I wrote upsetted ><

Can someone help me, a damsel in distress? :(
I'm super worried about my paper 1 section 2 and i felt that i did horribly due to the lack of time. In my letter, i lacked alot of elements required by the question. for example, I didn't introduce myself. :( I just started out with, " I am delighted that our school has been chosen ..... "
Besides that, I failed to mention the 2 students who might be involved and i barely organized the day.
Do you think there is a probability that would fail my functional? Because If i'm not wrong, Lauguage is upon 20 and TF is upon 10.
As for paper 2, summary, i think i did fine but i'm positive i didn't hit 15 points. More like, 10.

I think for situational writing format and addressing the points are the most important. And I don't think failing to introduce urself is a deciding factor for a mark leh. As long as the entire thing has a good flow shd be okay. Mine wasn't kindof odd :/ the summary was really vague - they just asked bout the development of circuses thru time. I omitted the part on animal rights and still too many words leh! And after that anyhow count and bomb the number of words cos no time ><
Now... If anyone knows.. What is the highest possible mark for p1 section one ah (free writing). Seems like that is the only thing i can pin my hopes on :(

I only mention the Advantages of my chosen suggestion and compare it to the 2 other suggestions. and i only said Shopping centre and that all the teenage hotspots fall under the same roof. HAHA.
I omitted the Animal Rights one too! :O I thought i was the only one. I had no time too, especially for my Situational writing.
The higest mark for p1 section 1 is 30, Having the same weightage as situational writing, 30 as well. sigh. I'm pinning my hopes on my section 1 as well, its the only section i felt i did fantastic in. Other than that, comprehension is GG for me.

Btw, for Zenith, is it acceptable if i wrote "Optimum"? and for Beset, i wrote, "Made worse" and vigorously as "Angrily"

I didnt really compare, most of it was just persuading. I barely wrote about organizing the day too. I just screwed it up by suggesting a welcome celebration so that Anne and John will feel more at ease and dare to pose more qns wtf. I chose the second suggestion btw, most popular choice by far from what I heard.

Comprehension was horrible for me too. Lotsa careless mistakes. I think optimum and the one you wrote for beset are quite close. Depends on how strict the marker is. Angrily is kinda off. I wrote vehemently :/ Most people wrote strongly which should be correct.

Yeah. Anne and John completely demoralized us totally. The name Anne and John can never be the same to me again. :? hahaha
And i agree to English being subjective too. Examinations are 50% luck and 50% effort. Take Humanities for example. We can only let fate decide what the marker favour.
I don't know whether to say the comprehension was easy or not. I can only determine that when i get back my results. Oh well, thanks for making me feel a tad bit better! :) All the best for your Maths paper tomorrow!

For Section A, I did Q4 about the religious/national event and then the letter writing I choose the Q&A session
Must you compare Q&A vs the other choices? Cos I never :p Also, do I have to like list the itinerary cos some of my classmates did it. Like at 8am, programme starts, 9am Anne and john do this. I just elaborated on how I want the programme to run.
Oh, for P2 I thought beset means like undetered but it wasn't even close. lol
I bet I will never forget the words zenith and beset!

I have never encountered the need to state the time before. Hence, maybe this year, the markers would be more lenient when marking the situational writing i guess.

I wrote cos 'her clothing was elaborate and her make up was thick'. If you noticed the entire sentence was talking bout her makeup. My teacher say quite close but I'm still unsure! Can anyone clarify whats the correct answer?

I wrote "because her make-up was rouge" :/ I'm praying this is correct cause 1 mark only. I lost my compre marks to vocab and the question that asked about the 2 words with the same meaning as confused. As well as the question asking why did Philip give up teaching riding. XD

Rouge means blush leh. But the makeup part is right if I guessed correctly. Its something to do with her damn makeup ><

I'm not sure too. I just lift from the passage cause i really had no idea what the answer was. Have a strong feeling that i'm going to flunk my Compre someway or another. :/
And i think Rouged can also mean Thicken/redden. So i guess both of our answers are correct. :O
