- I'm an O level student who is extremely interested in studying Psychology but with the polytechnic C.O.Ps in the single digit range, i doubt i stand a chance to qualify.. Is there any way i can enter this field of study ?
My estimated O level results should be about 14-18points. What do you recommend i do ?
Also, with regards to taking a private dip. I hear it's not recognised what are your views ?
Much Obliged :)

Go to JC and try to work your way in from there instead. O-lvl grades are often, but NOT ALWAYS an indicative of A-lvl grades.
Psychology is not a course which requires straight As to enter, as many has misunderstood. In fact, you will only need straight Bs to enter it, though having a few As will help a lot.
A lot of the private diplomas in Singapore are not recognised, and will require you to go either study overseas or study in a private university in Singapore. If that is the case, you may as well go overseas to study psychology in a prestige (or at least recognised) university.
NUS offers psychology also.

i beg to differ in terms of opinions .doesnt mean you cant get in Nus pyschology ,there i no more hope.MDIS ,SIM also offers pyschology degree ,but of course they are private degree .UNISIM do have pyschology degree and you can apply for government grant.
according to Public Service Commission ,they do not openly endorse any university as a criteria for working in the civil sector.Private sector is based on your merit and your competency on the job.
you have to weigh the options before you decide .i would say end of the day it depends on how much you can set aside to study($) and your passion in that degree.
hope it helps
