A question which I'm unsure about:
b) "Bromine gas contains the isotopes 79Br and 81Br in almost equal proportions. Part of the spectrum of bromine gas, showing one of the peaks for the molecular ion Br2+, is given in Figure 2."
i) "Complete Figure 2 to show the full spectrum of the molecular ion peaks of Br2+."
There is then a mass spectrum showing relative abundance against m/e with one peak at 158. I've done a peak at 160 and 162, showing the total combinations of 79+79, 81+81 and 79+81. I've got the 158 and 162 peak at the same height, and then the 160 peak at double their height. This is to show the abundance being 25%, 25% and 50%, respectively.
This part is 3 marks, does anyone have any suggestions?
ii) "Explain the number of peaks present in your diagram."
This is 1 mark. Do I just state the possible combinations that can occur as reason for the peaks?
iii) "Explain the ratio of the heights of the peaks shown in your diagram."
This is 1 mark. Do I just state the ratio of each isotope as a reason for the abundances?
Any assistance is appreciated, so thank you very much.

Your answers are correct.
