Explain why hydrogen bonds do not form between:
a) Methane molecules; CH4
b) Tetra Chloromethane; CCl4
I'm unsure about how to word these answers. I'm thinking no valence electrons as complete outer shell. I'm also thinking the limited difference in electronegativity between the C-H and C-Cl means no dipole.
How would you approach the question in terms of answering it?
Thanks.
